Toronto Council Meeting

Praise God for His favour and victory at the Planning and Growth Management Committee. Approximately 100 pastors and leaders attended the meeting and 15 made presentations.

Our goal was for the committee to pass a motion ordering the city planners to meet with us to find a solution correcting the proposed new bylaw that threatens to severely restrict new churches.

Six Gender Education Now Focuses on Ontario Daycare

You may have heard about the Health and Physical Education curriculum that was quashed back in 2010. You may also have heard about the TDSB’s Equitable & Inclusive Education Policy and its pro-homosexual agenda, but now we are faced with a new threat that is proposing to indoctrinate our children with pro-homosexual teaching beginning before a child even enters the classroom.

A new document called Best Start has emerged, and it plans on indoctrinating our children in daycare by dictating to the daycare workers what kind of activities should be encouraged. Page 5 of the document outlines the scenario of a boy in a dress and speaks of encouraging children to enable and challenge the gender norms. Furthermore, page 17 of the document describes the nuclear family as a myth and says that because many children do not come from the typical nuclear family (mainly due to divorce or parental separation) that the nuclear family is a fallacy as well as an unrealistic model for optimal child rearing.

This document may seem like it is trying to aid in building an inclusive society, but in reality it is an attack on Christian values.

Conservative Budget Bail-in Regime May Allow Banks
to Confiscate Customer’s Deposits

by Dr McVety

On March 21st, 2013, Prime Minister Stephen Harper had his Finance Minister Jim Flaherty present their 2013 Budget that included a “Bail-In Regime” on page 145. The clause will allow banks to convert liabilities into capital in times of need. The recent events in Cyprus, coupled with the G20 agreement in Mexico City-2012, suggest that this so called bail-in scheme may be used to plunder the savings of Canadians.

The bank failures of 2008 were rescued by governments doling out trillions of dollars of bail-outs. The result was massive national debt for western countries. International financial discussions have recently revolved around a new option for banks to simply loot the accounts of their customers. Cyprus banks were the first to implement a "bail-in". The Eurogroup deal on March 25th allowed the Bank of Cyprus to use 37.5 % of deposits exceeding 100,000 Euros for the initial bail-in and a further 22.5% to remain on hold. This action caused massive runs on Cyprus banks, riots, and unrest leaving citizens screaming “you took my life savings”.
